Sausage Rolls
These homemade sausage rolls are flaky, savoury, and perfect for parties or a family snack. The combination of tasty sausage meat and golden pastry makes them irresistible.

- 300 g pork mince
- 300 g beef mince
- 1 onion
- 1 garlic clove
- 2 tsps Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbs dried herbs
- 2 tbs breadcrumbs
- 2 sheets puff pastry
- 2 eggs
- Salt and pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 200°C. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
In a bowl, combine and mix mince, diced onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, herbs, breadcrumbs, one egg and salt, and pepper.
Cut each puff pastry sheet in half. Divide sausage mixture into four portions and shape into logs. Place each log on the edge of a pastry strip and roll to enclose. Seal the edges and cut each log into 3 even sausage rolls.
Brush the tops with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds if using.
Bake for 25 minutes or until golden.
For a crispier pastry, chill the sausage rolls in the fridge for 15 minutes before baking.
