- 500 g beef rump steak sliced thinly
- 300 g broccoli florets
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 tbsp ginger minced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce or tamari for gluten-free
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce optional
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup beef stock
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Sesame seeds for garnish
Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large pan over high heat. Add the beef strips and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
Add onion, garlic, ginger, and broccoli to the same pan. Stir-fry for 4-5 minutes until the broccoli is tender but still crisp.
Return the beef to the pan and stir in soy sauce, oyster sauce, rice vinegar, and beef stock. Stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until everything is well-coated.
Drizzle with sesame oil and garnish with sesame seeds.
Notes:
For extra flavour, marinate the beef in soy sauce and ginger for 30 minutes before cooking.
You can also add mushrooms or bell peppers for extra veggies.
