Sausage Rolls
These homemade sausage rolls are flaky, savoury, and perfect for parties or a family snack. The combination of tasty sausage meat and golden pastry makes them irresistible.
Ingredients
- 300 g pork mince
- 300 g beef mince
- 1 onion
- 1 garlic clove
- 2 tsps Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbs dried herbs
- 2 tbs breadcrumbs
- 2 sheets puff pastry
- 2 eggs
- Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 200°C. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
- In a bowl, combine and mix mince, diced onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, herbs, breadcrumbs, one egg and salt, and pepper.
- Cut each puff pastry sheet in half. Divide sausage mixture into four portions and shape into logs. Place each log on the edge of a pastry strip and roll to enclose. Seal the edges and cut each log into 3 even sausage rolls.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds if using.
- Bake for 25 minutes or until golden.
Notes
For a crispier pastry, chill the sausage rolls in the fridge for 15 minutes before baking.
